ZIrconium and Titanium Nakago

315 USD
Black Zirconium, Green Anodized Titanium! This is my first knife with Zirconium overlays and wow it came out nice! I triple anodized the inner scales for a natural patinated copper look with the strength and weight of Titanium. This knife has over 4 days in it and i'm beyond happy with the outcome... even the Ti screws have 6 stages of finishing done to them. The gear pattern backspacer clip and blade tang really tie it together too.

This EDC excels as a knife and bottle opener!

This versatile design is equally at home in the field, office, campsite, kitchen, boat or spacecraft. :) It's very pocket friendly with a thick yet discreet deeply contoured clip. Watch/change pocket friendly size!

Materials Used

..070" Zirconium Frame Overlay
.125" Ti Blade with 72 RC Carbide Edge
.125" Ti Frames
.16" Clip and full length backspacer
Ti Screws and Pivot
Ti Stop Pin

The only non Ti components are the heat treated stainless steel pivot barrel and the washers! No need to worry about rust and the knife is virtually maintenance free.

2.5" Blade
5.8" Total Length

Chisel Grind with 72 RC Tungsten Carbide Edge - True chisel geometry for aggressive cutting. Compound grind with swedge!

It's not sharpened in these pics... I'll get a pic of the edge once I sharpen.

6al4v Titanium with 72 RC Tungsten Carbide Edge - excels with abrasive materials such as cardboard, very aggressive with meat, seatbelt material, vegetables, cloth, cord, softer materials, rope, raw bone, paper, etc.

These are easy to sharpen with most any setup, just raise a burr by sharpening the microbeveled side only (reverse of the carbide) then strop or hone the burr off The carbide will not wear off, flake, chip, etc and is an integral part of the knife
